VP of Innovation

George is a nerd. – A title a lifetime in the making, it’s a moniker he welcomes.


Promptly after earning his accounting degree from the University of Connecticut, George quickly found a different passion; programming. A self-taught web developer with over 25 years of experience, George remembers when being a success online involved having a “killer mascot” (sock puppets? really?).


George joined Smart 1 Marketing in November 2016 after running his own web agency in Connecticut since 2002. George is tasked with helping to keep Smart 1 innovating in the space. Whether it is applying AI to communicate with partners/clients, or streamlining internal processes using various technologies, George's focus is on moving the company forward technically, and translating tech into solutions for partners & clients.


George lives in Connecticut with his wife Kelly and their 3 children. He is kept busy cooking, tending to his organic garden, and raising/browbeating the next generation of coders.

N I C O L E   S T E L Z E R

VP of Client Success

Nicole is a fitness enthusiast and beach lover. You can find her on the beach as often as possible. She has a passion for sports, especially soccer. She channels her love for the game into coaching her kids' soccer teams, sharing her knowledge and nurturing the next generation of athletes. Her dedication extends even further as she holds a crucial role on the board of her Local Youth Soccer League, where she contributes to the growth and development of the sport in her community.


Nicole's academic journey led her to The Ohio State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing. Armed with this education, she embarked on a remarkable career spanning over 18 years in the field of digital advertising and marketing. Her wealth of experience has made her a standout in the industry, and she currently serves as the Vice President of Client Success.


In her role, Nicole takes on the responsibility of managing and developing relationships and workflow with partners, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction. Leading the Client Success department, she oversees a team of dedicated professionals who share her commitment to excellence. Nicole thrives in collaborating with partners to craft strategic marketing plans that are tailored to each client's unique needs, all in pursuit of achieving outstanding results.

Jim Hern, a creative marketing enthusiast hailing from Central Ohio, embarked on his journey in the world of design during his college years. With a passion for aesthetics and a knack for visual storytelling, he began his career as a designer. Little did he know that this initial step would mark the beginning of a remarkable 35-year career in the ever-evolving creative marketing industry.


Throughout his career, Jim demonstrated an uncanny ability to adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of marketing. With the advent of the digital age, he made a pivotal decision to transition into the digital agency realm. Here, he embraced the power of technology, data-driven strategies, and the boundless opportunities presented by the internet to help clients reach their marketing goals.

One of the youngest members of the Smart1Marketing team, Kaden brings a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the table. His ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions has not only impressed his colleagues but also made him a go-to expert for addressing client needs. Whether it's crafting data-driven marketing campaigns or optimizing strategies, Kaden's expertise has consistently delivered outstanding results.


Outside the office, Kaden embraces the great outdoors. He's a passionate adventurer of nature. When he's not busy crunching numbers or developing marketing strategies, you can find him hitting the slopes, skiing down the mountains. He's an avid hiker, exploring trails and taking in the beauty of scenic landscapes. Fishing is another one of his great passions.


Kaden's journey is one of constant growth and a commitment to excellence. His unique combination of skills, from finance and analytics to spreadsheet wizardry, makes him a standout talent in the marketing world. Director of Finance

Connie is married to her partner in life, her best friend of 30 years. They love to travel and enjoy cruising.


Connie is a Mother of three children. Grandmother of four Grandsons, a Granddaughter, and a Great Grandson. Connie enjoys spending time with her family whenever she can.


Connie has been working in the finance industry for over 33 years. Prior to joining Smart 1 Marketing in 2016, Connie was a General Manager for The Huntington National Bank. Her passion was working with both consumer and business clients and always being available to their needs, while providing simply the best service. Connie and her team received numerous awards for achieving monthly sales and revenue goals on a consistent basis.


In her current role as Director of Finance, Connie oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections. She leads the payroll and benefits initiatives for the company. Connie manages the day-to-day financial responsibilities of the company, and works closely both with internal and external clients on a daily basis.


Connie's professional career is testimony of her dedication of doing the right thing and making a difference in people's lives.
